Security Enclaves

If you process or store high or restricted information, you are required to use a security enclave. Learn more about security enclaves here.

Get CyberSMART.

  1. Keep security software current and automate updates.
  2. Protect your devices against viruses and malware with antivirus/protective software.
  3. Enable strong authentication tools (e.g. 2FA) and make your password a sentence.
  4. Protect your valuable work, and back it up.
  5. Don’t leave your devices in an unsecured area, or unattended and logged on.
  6. When in doubt, throw it out: if an email looks suspicious, don’t click on it, report it. (phishing@psu.edu).
  7. Protect sensitive data, and securely remove it when no longer needed.
  8. Think before you act, and be wary of communications that want you to act immediately, or ask for personal information.
  9. Set privacy and security settings on your web services and devices to your comfort of information sharing.
  10. Stay informed.
