Research Compliance Support
Some research projects, despite an absence of an agreement, will still be subject to certain regulatory or other requirements related to the processing, storage, and destruction of data. Human subjects research is an excellent example – protocols and consent forms often include a description of how data will be stored, and researchers involved in these protocols cannot deviate from those descriptions without a modification to the protocol and consent. The OIS compliance team is available to help researchers understand the options they may have to meet these types of requirements without going through the modification process. Further, grant applications also include a section for a Data Management Plan. The OIS compliance team is available to assist in developing and drafting these plans.
