WHAT IS WEBSSO?

Web Single Sign-On (WebSSO) is a service that enables users to securely authenticate with multiple applications and websites by logging in only once with just one set of credentials.

WEBSSO AT PENN STATE

Penn State’s Web Single Sign-On service is a service of Identity and Access Management (IAM).

As part of the University’s IT Modernization strategy, a project is currently underway to eliminate reliance on legacy authentication methods and begin leveraging newer, more robust technologies available through Microsoft’s Azure Active Directory SSO component.
