zoom meetings
Office of Information Security
To address increased threats and prevent breaches during Zoom meetings, security updates will be implemented on May 11, 2020. These include changing the default settings of many features to be more secure, including the chat feature, screen sharing, and meeting passwords.
This page contains additional information about the changes, including how to reconfigure settings if necessary.
Users who change default settings are asked to remain vigilant while hosting meetings and should be well versed in best practices for handling Zoom Bombings.
Be aware that some features must be adjusted globally before scheduling a meeting and will apply to all meetings that you host. These settings will not appear during a live meeting if you did not enable them globally before scheduling.
You can change other settings while scheduling a meeting and while meetings are in progress.
